Family and relationships question:

Approximately 12 years ago, my ex husband and I divorced. We had three children together, and I was awarded the house and my husband was awarded 15.7% of the house, via a legal charge, once our youngest daughter reached 18. In the meantime, my husband went bankrupt and the charge was taken over by a private financial company. Our daughter reached 18 last year, and I have now had a letter from a Solicitors, acting on behalf of the financial company, demanding the amount owed, or otherwise they are demanding that they are going to approach the courts to gain an order to sell the house. I would add that I have since had a further child, who is 12 years old who lives with me at the property, with a partner who does not live with me. I would like to know whether I do have to pay the full amount, or negotiate a sum of money? Would they take into account that myself and my daughter are settled and do not want to move, as this would necessitate a change in schools etc.
