Immigration question:

I.ve been in working in UK since 1997 and become a resident after 4 years. My 2 children were 16 and 17 years old by that time and now they are 29 & 30 years old. Can I make an appeal to bring them here to UK as a family member since I did not bring them here when they were still young? Thanks

You can make an application to bring your adult children to the UK as your dependants under Rule 317 (Immigration Rules) if they are living alone outside the UK in the most exceptional and compassionate circumstances and mainly dependant financially upon you. You would also need to show that there are no other family members who they could turn to for support and also be able to fulfill the accommodation and maintenance requirements under the Immigration Rules. This is not a straightforward application as you will need to paint a picture of the circumstances of your relationship by gathering appropriate documentary evidence.
