Medical claims question:

I visited A&E with a rew bump on my buttock. Advised innocent and to goto GP. Went GP 3 days later and advised wart. Went back 12 months later and advised a wart again but I requested for it to be taken off. They shaved it off and it came back as a 3.2mm malignant melanoma - HELP PLEASE??

To prove medical negligence , you will have to show 2 things
1) That there was an act of negligence i.e that either the hospital or the GP should have identified the MM AND
2)That you have suffered harm as a result of the negligence i.e that had the MM been diagnosed earlier your treatment / prognosis would have been better
My advice would be to initially lodge a complaint with both the hospital and your GP as to why they missed the MM

you will then need to consider if you have a claim and in this regard you have 3 years from the date you became aware of the negligence i.e date of diagnosis of the MM
